Individual Porfolio

You are welcome to use this space to share your progress as you work on your final portfolio. Please keep in mind that your submitted work must be individual, however, you are welcome to share pointers, especially if you encounter any technical issues.

I am eager to read about your comments regarding this project as I am looking for suggestions and/or ways to improve this comprehensive project. Suggestions about topics, format, etc. are welcome. In addition to suggestions for improvement, I am interested in hearing about what you do like about this individual portfolio so that I can consider keeping certain things in tact.

Thank you all for participating in this course and I hope all of you enjoy the upcoming holiday season.

Sincerely,
Rose Ferro

MS Access All Chapters

Many of you may not have had the need to use MS Access in the past, so this would be a good opportunity for you to post comments, feedback, share your thoughts, etc. as you progress through your learning experience. This will be the only post space for all of the Access chapters that you will be completing as part of this course. Although this will be the only post space, I do expect you to make a constructive post each week.

MS Excel, Chapter 4 Financial Functions, Data Tables, and Amortization Schedules

For those of you that have different levels of expertise regarding MS Excel, I would like you to use this space as an opportunity to share your skills and/or request support if you are having difficulty with any of the tasks at hand. Prior to posting a request for support, you should do your own research and look for support online (or other resources). If you have run into an issue and found online support, I would like you to clearly identify your issue and provide either the steps you have discovered or the online links that have provided you with the appropriate solution.

MS Excel, Chapter 3 What-If Analysis, Charting, and Working with Large Worksheets

Upon review of this chapter, identify what chapter specific skills you find useful and how you could apply these skills in your personal, educational and/or professional life.

Some of you are working with MS Excel 2010 instead of MS Excel 2007. For those of you that fall into this category, I would like you to clearly identify any issues that you run into due to the difference in look-and-feel and/or functionality. In addition to identifying the problem, I would like you to identify the solution that you have discovered. You are welcome (encouraged) to look online for additional support. For those of you that find the support online, I would like you to post link(s) that outline the appropriate steps to accomplish the task at hand.

You are also encouraged to post any questions that you have so that your classmates may be able to help guide you to a solution. Please keep in mind this is not designed to have someone do your assignment for you, but to continue and share in the learning process.
